How to Be a Fit Woman – Exercise Tips

If you want to be a fit woman in this busy life of ours, you are still going to need to make time for exercise. Whether you are into yoga, weightlifting, cardio, or you simply need to find a way to get up and move for  30-minutes or an hour per day, these tips will help you out!

Walking

As stated by a study published by the Journal of the American Medical Association,

“Even low- and moderate-intensity exercise such as walking, when carried out consistently, is associated with important cardiovascular health benefits. Walking has also been shown to reduce anxiety and tension and aid in weight loss. Regular walking may help improve cholesterol profile, help control hypertension, and slow the process of osteoporosis. Recent physiological studies have demonstrated that brisk walking provides strenuous enough exercise for cardiovascular training in most adults.”

Simply going for a walk might be the oldest trick in the book, but it’s still one of the most efficient and trustworthy ways to lose weight if you’re a woman. Walking for even 30-minutes a day can help you lose weight and improve your heart!

According to a study published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise,

Walking is a simple health behavior that can reduce rates of chronic disease and ameliorate rising health care costs, with only a modest increase in the number of activity-related injuries.”

If you are going to set a goal for walking each day, I suggest you begin with aiming for 10,000 steps per day. 10,000 steps is a great goal for fit women and women who are trying to become fit.

In addition to helping you become fit, it will also do wonders for your health as well.

If you can’t afford an hour a day, that’s quite all right as well! Walk as long as you can, and try to get additional steps in when shopping for groceries, going to your friend’s, or simply strolling down the streets.

If you want a quick boost in energy before jogging, try a natural pre workout drink such as green tea or coconut water.

If you’d like to try a slightly more intense exercise, you can give jogging a try. Your cardiovascular system, your bones, your muscles, and your mind are all going to improve just by jogging or walking.

Being a Healthy Woman – Diet Tips

Regardless of how much you exercise, you are also going to need to have a healthy diet if you want to remain fit. Check out these tips which can help your body remain fit without much effort!

Eating

Coming up with a perfect diet is another crucial part of the entire weight loss process and something that needs to be done before you go down this road. Being a physically active woman and exercising all day long won’t mean anything if you end your day with a pizza and a Coca-Cola, which is why you need to come up with a diet regime that’s going to accompany your workout schedule.

You should focus on lean meat, fruits, vegetables, natural ingredients, and trying to avoid junk food as much as possible.

Also, don’t be afraid to consult a nutritionist and ask them for advice regarding food choices and healthy ingredients.

Drinking Tea

Who’d have thought that so many beverages could be made simply by soaking leaves in hot water? It’s not surprising that tea is the second most commonly consumed drink worldwide (after water) when you consider all of the wonderful tastes and smells that it can produce.

But the sensational delights tea provides are not the only reason to drink it – tea also comes along with many health benefits.

Tea is a mixture of many active molecules that can cause biological effects in the human body.

Many of these extracts are very useful in natural remedies and nutrition. Several well-known remedies include tea extracts, as you will find on Reviewy, a website that provides information about several commercially available supplements.

Drinking tea instead of other sugary or otherwise unhealthy drinks is a simple way to improve your health and become a fit woman!

Chamomile Tea

Chamomile is quite a sweet-tasting tea with a pleasant odor. It is best known for its natural calming effects. Its phytochemicals can relax certain tissues and relieve tension and mental stress. Some people drink a cup of chamomile before bed to help them sleep. Scientists have also determined that chamomile tea can fight depression.

Other health benefits of chamomile are being researched such as its ability to reduce inflammation and control metabolism by reducing blood sugar and lipids, and so reducing the risk of developing diabetes type 2 or a cardiovascular disease.

Rooibos (Red Bush) tea

Rooibos tea makes its humble home in South Africa. It translates literally to mean “red bush”. It also has a sweet taste and is a favorite in its homeland and many counties worldwide. It is rich in antioxidants, which help to reduce inflammation in the body and lower the risk of developing inflammatory diseases like cardiovascular disease and cancer.

One scientific study also found that rooibos tea can stimulate osteoblasts (bone laying cells) to improve bone growth and bone density, which is especially helpful for women at risk of osteoporosis.

A common natural remedy that it is useful for is a sore throat. Rooibos mixed with lemon and fresh ginger or honey and fresh ginger (depending on taste preferences) helps to relieve a sore throat very effectively.

Green Tea

Green tea contains molecules called catechins and a significant amount of caffeine. The catechins are quite effective at inducing weight loss by chemically acting on fat cells and causing them to release their fat stores. Caffeine also has a similar effect.

For many reasons, green tea is one of the best natural pre workout products!

Breaking down fat cells can be quite protective for the liver and can give you more energy. Green tea is also quite rich in antioxidants.

It was also discovered quite a while ago that one of the components of the green tea is able to inhibit an enzyme that is responsible for the growth of the prostate also known as benign prostatic hypertrophy and hyperplasia.

Peppermint Tea

Peppermint tea contains a variety of antioxidants and other biologically active molecules. One of the places in the body affected by peppermint tea is the digestive tract.

There is substantial scientific evidence that taking peppermint orally can reduce indigestion, nausea and stomach pain.

It also helps to relieve spasms in the intestine, which could be very beneficial for people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome. Emerging evidence is suggesting that peppermint acts directly on the smooth muscles in the digestive tract and that is how it is able to elicit its effects.

Hibiscus Tea

Hibiscus tea is made from flowers instead of leaves and has a distinctly fruity taste with slightly bitter undertones. It is very easy to spot because of its sharp red color.

Similarly to other teas it is able to assist in the control of blood lipid levels and also helps to reduce inflammation through antioxidant effects.

Hibiscus tea also helps to reduce the risk of developing a cardiovascular disease by lowering the blood pressure. Many people also use it as a remedy for influenza like illness, although studies on this are limited at the moment.

Chai Tea

Chai tea has a very strong pleasant taste. It is a highly fragrant spicy tea, that is now even served as a latte. Chai tea has several components, including cinnamon, cloves and allspice, each with their own health benefits.

Chai tea also helps to protect the heart from cardiovascular disease, and can help you to lose weight, especially by suppressing appetite and promoting fat breakdown.

At the same time, it may also provide the list of benefits similar to peppermint tea.
